Botanical name : Rinchosia minima.
Common Name : Least snout bean
Family : Fabaceae
Synonym : Glycine rhombea
About : Rhynchosia is an almost cosmopolitan plant on the heavier textured soils of the tropics and subtropics. A glabrous to somewhat pubescent, perennial, twining or sub-erect legume. Palatability of R. minima varies widely from place to place. A slender vine not exceeding a stem diameter of 2 cm. Compound leaf. The inflorescence is a raceme of up to 15 flowers. The flowers are yellow with purple or brown veining and measure up to 8 millimeters long. The fruit is one or two centimeters long. R. minima is more readily eaten by cattle. There are no known toxicities.
