Orange Ixora

Ixora coccinea

Botanical name : Ixora coccinea.
Common Name : Orange Ixora
Family : Rubiaceae
About : Ixora coccinea is a bushy, rounded shrub that has long been a popular hedging plant in the subtropical regions because of beautiful bright clusters of flowers year around. Ixoras freely produce loose, corymb-like cymes, 2-5" across of orange or yellow flowers. The leaves are simple and usually entire, and are opposite or sometimes whorled; stipules are present and interpetiolar. The flowers are nearly always bisexual and actinomorphic, often heterostylous, and usually are in cymose inflorescences.
