About | : The Snow bush is a shrub to small tree, having white milky latex and uniformly spreading thin, pinkish branches which grow up to 2m height. Leaves are elliptic-lanceolate, petiolate, light green, usually opposite or in whorls of three or more. They are 3-8 cm long, and appear on long stalks Bracts 1 cm, oblanceolate, creamy-white, showy. Inflorescence is borne in umbels. Flowers are small, yellow but fragrant, bracteate, creamy white. Flowering and fruiting time is from November to January. It is native to American continent but is now cultivated throughout the world as an ornamental plant. |
